I believe there will be a global flood, there was one billions of years ago. There was a shallow ocean in what is now central united states after all, and I think humans will be long extinct by the time it happens again.
But our evolutionary descendants over millions of years might one day go back to resembling fish, or at least a flippered mammalian analogue like dolphins or whales.
