@VeronicaJane Thats how my screen looked just over a week ago, but now the icon bar across the top has changed. It now only has the flash, pixels and filter options on it....the others have disappeated.

@RubySoo did you try rebooting it, or power it down then turn it back on?
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@samueltyler2 oh course. No change.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@RubySoo that is so weird. Have you called Samsung support of your carrier? The only other thing that comes to mind is to reinstall the app.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@samueltyler2 no i haven't. As i said, my girl is home at the weekend, so she might know how to sort it...since she f**ked it up!
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@RubySoo you may have to explain the reason you need the timer for selfies, which may or may not be embarrassing depending upon what you do use it for.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@samueltyler2 wow!! Really???
Why imply filth on a post such as this?
🤬
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@RubySoo i apologize if i offended you. I don't even know how to respond. no not at all, but when one talks about selfies and timed release it does raise the issue of what you need it for.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@samueltyler2 why does it?
Apology NOT accepted.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@RubySoo I don't know what i can do to.mske it right.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@samueltyler2 take yr mind out of the gutter. I dunno if you only take rude selfies, but I dont.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@RubySoo first, i don't think my mind is in the gutter, and i never do rude things, i try never to be rude to anyone.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@samueltyler2 but you chose to imply that because I had a timer set on my phone, I must be using it to take improper photos? And I might be embarrassed to explain myself to my daughter if i ask her for help??
Because you cant think of any other reason someone might use a timer on their phone???

You clearly didnt like me implying you take rude pics...but it was ok for you to imply i did?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@RubySoo again I apologize, but I do believe you said you use it to "take selfies." I never implied any kind of selfies, I only said that your daughter might think of selfie the way many do and this it might be embarrassing to ask. I use a self timer sometimes to avoid shaking the camera when i hit the shutter release. Generally, when that happens it is not a selfie anyway, i might have my cancer, or phone mounted on a tripod.

Again I do apologize.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@samueltyler2 exactly....one of the reasons i use a timer. And, i have very small hands and cannot press the button with my thumb so a selfie ( a photo i take of myself) is impossible with one hand).
Still...you implied my 'selfies' were improper.....and thats not ok.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@RubySoo again i apologize, i wonder though, if you asked 100 people on SW what they expect to see when someone says selfie what you might learn.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@samueltyler2 i wonder what YOU might learn!

What is the full meaning of selfie?

"A selfie (/ˈsɛlfi/) is a self-portrait photograph or a short video, typically taken with an electronic camera or smartphone. The camera would be usually held at arm's length or supported by a selfie stick instead of being controlled with a self-timer or remote."

Why are you still implying a selfie is improper?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@RubySoo i never implied any impropriety. Let us stop.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@samueltyler2 so why should i be embarrassed tell my daughter i take selfies?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@RubySoo forget it. Please.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@samueltyler2 oh, I see...'shut up woman, I've had enough'.
You accuse me of behaving in an inapropriate manner, and I'm supposed to take it??
I'm the one offended, yet you take the huff and tell me to drop it!!
Ho humm....
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@RubySoo you are so misreading all of my attempts to apologize if i hurt you.

I am sorry i tried to help you as well.
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@samueltyler2 im not misreading or musunderstanding anything.
@RubySoo I agree, I have problems with selfies. My kids' turn out wonderfully, my attempts no so much... 🙄
Ruby, have you tried this? The A15's camera timer icon might be missing from the icon bar due to it being hidden or disabled, or perhaps the app itself was uninstalled.

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Check if the Camera app is hidden:
Go to your phone's Settings > Home screen > Hide apps.

If the Camera app is listed under "Hidden apps," tap the minus sign to unhide it.
Tap Done to save the changes.

2. Check for disabled Camera app:

Open your phone's Settings > Apps.

Tap the filter icon (three lines or dots) and choose Show system apps.
Scroll down and find the Camera app. If it's disabled, tap it and press Enable.

3. Reset home screen layout:

Go to Settings > Home screen.

Tap Reset Home Screen Layout (this will reset the layout to default, but no apps will be deleted).

4. Check for updates:

Open the Camera app and tap the Settings icon (gear icon).

Swipe to and tap About Camera.
Check for updates and install if available.
