That's a bad advice even spiteful I might add. That person it's not your friend. Don't listen to everyone, especially not to people like that.
Hobbies are healthy indeed.
And self depreciation (which is fine for here, bc the nature of the website) is a larger deterrent than anything you listed here.
I hope you find peace before anything.

@KiwiDan replace it with positive self talk and interrupt any time it pops out. And don't make it reality by saying it out loud.
Lastly, action. Anything you do wonderful for yourself is a confirmation for your subconscious that you value and are wonderful and worthy. Last one did it for me. No amount of self talk helped as much as action helped. Standing up for myself, speaking up, eating better, moving more anything like that.
