@espoir I don't think the producers would risk the potential damage to the brand something like this would do. James Bond is one of those things that mostly has fans who want something different as long as it's the same, which becomes true of any long-lasting franchise. Even people who aren't among the idiots who would complain about such a change being "too woke" might not take well to such a radical change. The risk is that the people who might be intrigued by such a change may not out number the critics, leading to a monetary loss. And, in the end, it's just a business.

@DunningKruger I'm sorry, but I just don't think it's creative to take a long-standing existing character and change the gender or race of that character. That's not creative to me. That's just taking somebody's idea and twisting it.
