How did he get in there???

@HootyTheNightOwl there's a concrete wall behind the dumpsters. They're about to scale that wall, walk across onto the edge of the dumpster then drop in.

Good for you!
There was a strange and rather disturbing report in our local paper a couple of years or so ago. Council staff at one of the local, public tips investigated noises from one of the skips, and discovered a box containing an abandoned dog.
The workmen rescued it and contacted an animal rescue centre.
What sort of mind put it in there in the first place?

What a very good thing, that you were the one who discovered the scared little guy in there. Either you, or someone else who would care...with compassion.
Every time I see or hear anything about a racoon in a dumpster now, I will think about something that happened in a neighboring town a few years ago. It was horrible and sickening. I don't want to, but I do.

@beermeplease Speaking of which there was a bear in the desert digging out trash here. He came from out of the mountains above.

@DeWayfarer i used to live in bear country on vancouver island when i was a kid. it was in a small town and part of the entertainment was checking out the bears at the dump. one time there were 24 of them. but that was way back in '79

@beermeplease This was a very rare occasion. They rarely move out of the mountains into the desert especially in this heat. ...

so now you have a racoon?
robingoodfellow · M
@SatyrService nonononono! I just them out of there. They have a habit of getting in when it's too deep to get out.
