what's the right thing to do in controlling black bears?

just watching the news and they reported conservation officers had to euthanize 600 bears (including cubs) last year. this was due to them encroaching in urban areas of my province. i get they pose a safety risk and a nuisance tearing up garbage and whatnot. they say if they relocate them to rural areas that they wouldn't survive. do they know this for sure? at least if they did that, they'd have a chance...i just don't think they need an automatic bullet to the head...give them a chance....what do you think?

I'm thinking I'd love a bear skin rug
@Neman1622 can it be from the bear my dad ran over twice...the same bear (long story) that the conservation officers had to hunt down as it was injured and surely would have died?

@beermeplease dude, I've never heard of anyone running over a bear. That had to do so much damage to the car
@Neman1622 this happened over 40 years ago...i think we had a ford mercury...big v-8 . the bear was at the side of the road. my dad slowed down...but the bear kinda lunged in and we hit it...not that hard. we drove up the road a bit and decided to turn around report it to the authorities. that's when the bear charge the car out of nowhere and my dad hit it square on...there goes the radiator...i'm not lying... it was one big bear. maybe a grizzly but i don't think so. but i will never forget that,,,this happened in a rural area
