what's the right thing to do in controlling black bears?

just watching the news and they reported conservation officers had to euthanize 600 bears (including cubs) last year. this was due to them encroaching in urban areas of my province. i get they pose a safety risk and a nuisance tearing up garbage and whatnot. they say if they relocate them to rural areas that they wouldn't survive. do they know this for sure? at least if they did that, they'd have a chance...i just don't think they need an automatic bullet to the head...give them a chance....what do you think?

@NativePortlander1970 agreed...give them a chance 🐻...if they don't survive then at least we gave them a chance. i bet a small percentage would survive.
@beermeplease That they would, we need Yogi and BooBoo to stick around, along with Ranger Smith.
