Never had a problem feeding feral cats. In fact my current cat was feral for two years before I took her in.
Another feral cat I even managed to take to a vet. He was attacked by coyotes and managed to live. Badly hurt though. Couldn't take him in because he didn't get along with my other cat.
That cat was hunting rabbits before I started to feed him. 😆
