From elation to panic
Walking the dog the other day, we passed between a tree and a parked car. I felt the web on my hand before I saw it, when I looked down, this tiny spider was running toward my hand, all excited because it had caught something, but when it saw what it had caught it immediately dropped to the ground.
I humbly apologized for destroying its home, its source of income, food, and its bed and property.
For a moment I thought about ways to repay the little guy/girl, then shrugged and moved on. A brush of my hand and all its hard work was eliminated.
I did take care not to step on it. Poor little spider. Hopefully it rebuilds in a more suitable location.
