Where thankfully we dont get bugs the size of trees. Lol. But this flew on my door. Its not a common wasp here. Plus its about half the size of a finger. Anyone know?

Hornets are very common in South East England, so are cockroaches.

@Perry1968 Mostly carried across the channel by the wind from France. It is only thirty miles away. Also by lorries from the continent.
On a more benign note, lots of seeds are brought in from the continent by lorries. They germinate anywhere along the central reservations, making a welcome addition to our biodiversity.
