I Don't Mind Spiders

Last night I removed a large black spider from the ceiling of the girls' bathroom. He was doing no harm there, but they were slightly hysterical and worried that the steam from the showers might make him fall off while they were washing 😟 I'm not hugely fond of spiders and their jerky, unpredictable movements, but that is no reason for me to want to harm a living creature unnecessarily. I got a flannel and gently covered the fearsome arachnid and carried him out to a sheltered spot in the garden where I released him once more.
