I haven’t kept an eye on them lately.
In the past I’ve enjoyed the chickadees, nuthatches and finches at my feeder and the cardinals on the ground or tree branch. I like to see the swallows swooping through the sky. I haven’t had the diligence to maintain a hummingbird feeder in years but did love to see those.
I’m hoping after I move into the new house I’ll get around to setting up a feeder to feed And see the winter birds.
Often people tend to favor the less common species. Yes it is exciting when you see one that’s more rare. For me that would be a waxwing. The cedar waxwings I’ve seen occasional but the more colorful Bohemian waxwing I might never see except in a book.
