I Love Animals and Nature

The saddest thing I've seen in my lifetime is so many animals becoming endangered. From Monarch butterflies to Bengal Tigers, life on Earth disappearing at an alarming rate from a multitude of reasons that mostly boil down to the greed and ignorance of Mankind. There have been estimations that we've lost half of the wildlife on Earth over the past 40 years, I can see it myself in my own backyard. Certain species like Box Turtles and a particular Garden Spider that were common sites when I was a kid are rarely, if ever, seen around here anymore. This is a science fiction concept made real. It's heartbreaking and doesn't bode well for any life on Earth including ourselves.

It breaks my heart but I have to agree with your words... what has been happening around us for years is alarming and even worse is that so many have been aware of the problem for decades but far too little has been done to address it in time. The worst parasite on earth is man, he destroys his own world systematically and continuously and that although he knows better. We can experience the extinction of the species in our garden very closely every year... less and less birds visit our natural garden, because they find less and less insects... a few years ago we shared our garden with 6 hedgehogs, now there are only 2, because they also no longer find enough food and leave their home or they simply do not reproduce. It breaks my heart to see how the animals and nature suffer from the selfish behavior of us humans and I feel angry and helpless because I myself can do so little to protect them and reduce their suffering.
