Honey bees relocating

Yesterday a queen bee landed in the backyard for a breather.

When I was about 4 years old, before the incident that left me with a lifelong fear of bees, there was a honeybee migration, and for some reason, there were thousands of bees on our back deck, just crawling around. I went out there and tried to catch some with a butterfly net. Turns out that during a migration, bees are so mellow they will ignore a 4-year-old flailing at them with a net.
