Some animals that were previously considered cryptids make a lot of sense when you think about it

I mean... had you not known, would you believe it if someone described seeing an animal that had the body of a gazelle, but with a head shaped like a giraffe's and its body colored all brown, except its legs that were striped like a zebra's? What about a lizard that's so big, it dwarfs every other lizard known to man but only exists in one small area in Southeast Asia? Or how about the fabled kraken of the sea from old tales told by sailors for centuries, which one dismissed as a myth themselves until they swear they set eyes on that very creature?

I am, of course, referring to the okapi, komodo dragon and giant squid respectively. Most cryptids like Bigfoot/Sasquatch, the Loch ness monster, etc. are complete BS whose existences aren't even plausible. But cryptozoology shouldn't be dismissed entirely as pseudoscience. 😉
