My dad took my 9 year old nephews to Chuck E. Cheese today and he keeps calling him “that rat”

@iamonfire696 He's supposed to be a mouse. At the time when they were creating the mascot, Disney rained supreme in children's entertainment, and that meant Mickey Mouse.

Also, Mr. Charles Entertainment Cheese (yes, that is canonically his full name, and I find it hilarious) was based on a combination of Disney's Country Bear Jamboree, as well as Showbiz Pizza Palace, which was also run by a mouse.

@iamonfire696 I know, I know. The mouse resembles a rat. That's because they legally couldn't make it any less rat-like, for fear of lawsuits from Disney. Even back then, they were notoriously litigious.
