Beaver I occassionally see on walks

I find this beaver pretty interesting because I’ve seen it leave through a stormpipe, and the nearest exit I could find is at the nearby lake about a quarter mile away. It’s always made me curious what made it decide to walk through the dark pipe for so long. Granted, it’s the only animal I ever see there so it seemingly has found a jackpot of food.
