Awwwww He's sooooo cute
I had to give up my dog/best friend once. It was one of the hardest things I ever did and I feel guilty to this day. I know he went to a good home. I was single parenting and working all day and he had to be in a crate. He was unhappy. Unhappy with me and I understood I couldn't let him live out his life neglected. When things were better we were inseparable. I rescued him and fostered his mom. I didn't have another dog for many years because I wanted to be certain I would be there for them.
Sometimes you have to do what's right for them even though it's hard. They depend on us.

I know what it means to part from a pet, a dog in this case because I had to see my beloved Belgian Shepherd's health slowly decline when I was still a child and finally, the day I had to bid farewell came.
I never really got over it and since then, I do not want any pets because having to part with them hurts so much.
I can relate with your feelings and I do wish for Bruno to find a family that is able to take care of him as well as you did. Good luck 🐕

Hope you find the correct fit for a new human for him. At the very least, you could turn him into a no-kill shelter. I wish you well without your best friend.
Notsimilarreally · 31-35, F
Fortunately it's easy to rehome those breeds. You don't see them in shelters much

You did well.

@Zonuss thank you X I appreciate that

No offence, a dog is for life
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@nedkelly well there are instances where that cannot be the case and this is one of them
nedkelly · 61-69, M
@Mellowgirl You are correct I do not know your personal circumstances
Banksy83 · 41-45, M
I'll have him, how much?
Cinderellagirl · F
Don't you know anyone who would have him then at least you know he is getting a nice home
Patriot96 · 56-60, C
That is really difficult
Musicman · 61-69, M
Don't over think it too much. He may have a very good home with you.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@Musicman as you know my circumstances have changed considerably so this is the best option
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Mellowgirl It just tears me up seeing someone losing a beloved pet, but I understand.
ScarletWitch · 31-35, F
Why are you giving him away?
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@ScarletWitch for personal reasons
ScarletWitch · 31-35, F
@Mellowgirl sorry if this is harsh but dont be getting another pet. When you get a pet you dont just rehome them.
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
@ScarletWitch I've had him for 3 years this isn't an easy decision and not one I am making lightly.
I hope you never fall into a situation where by you have to make a decision as great as this.
