Animal Shrink

I'm no Dr. Doolittle, but,
I think animals
understand me...

and when they
come and talk
I then just nod
and try my best
to listen

but I don't understand
their languages
so there's an
integral part
that's missing

To discern a
cheep cheep
to an aggressive growl

there is much to learn
I'm still working on
their vowels..

but one thing I recall,
-I heard a colleague
say..

once they take out
your eyeballs...

they're not
going to
pay
