If it's morally acceptable to kill animals for the sensory pleasure of eating meat, is it also ok to kill them for other sensory pleasures?

i.e. some people might enjoy hearing their screams or listening to the sound of the blood spurting out of their slit throats

No because if you enjoy listening to animals scream, you’re not right in the head. If you enjoy the taste of meat, you’re completely natural.

It’s like asking: If it’s morally OK to enjoy sex, is pedophilia also OK? Because some people might enjoy having sex with children.

@BlueVeins What?? 🤣 Are you high? I’m not explaining why pedophilia is wrong, I’m pointing out that your post makes no sense.

@BlueVeins Ahh okay I see what you’re getting at. Can we just agree that cows are not children though? Also, I do in fact not believe that animals should live in bad conditions, before being slaughtered. I think junk food should become a relic of the past, and we should all eat less meat. Less, not none.

@Entheesa Why not none? Sure, there are some people who are unable to maintain a meat-free diet, but most of us can be perfectly healthy with only plant matter.

@BlueVeins If you think “most of us” can be perfectly healthy without eating meat, you’re not very smart. I know there’s a lot of trash going around on the internet, about diets, and I wouldn’t recommend someone I care about to trust any of it. Most people don’t have a clue about diet. And most people who spend hours “researching” diets to no avail on the internet, don’t have lives.

@Entheesa I have a pretty low opinion of people in general, but even I believe that most people can competently feed themselves. I've been a vegan for about two and a half years now, I'm perfectly healthy, and I've probably got an IQ of like 37 or some shit. Taking care of yourself takes a little bit of patience and yes, reading, but it's far from an insurmountable task.

@Entheesa Don't animals scream in general when you kill them though? I mean if you look at this from the viewpoint of a slaughter house worker. Things like veal are baby cows and stuff... the act of killing is really messy. So much blood.

Some animals are comparable to kids. This is scientifically validated... dogs, pigs and some other animals have the learning abilities of that of a 2 to 5 year old child.

@SatanBurger I can’t believe I got into a vegan debate. 🤦‍♀️ Guys, we don’t eat animals because we like to torture them, we eat them for nutrition or because they’re tasty. And to the other guy, I’m pretty sure it’s not easy at all to get everything you need, without eating meat, even if you feel healthy. Anyways I’m off now.

@Entheesa I assure you, I've gotten bloodwork done and it's all come up clean. Only thing I was short on was vitamin D, which is common for ppl at my latitude & easily fixable with gummy vitamins. (:

@Entheesa Yeah cannibals have said the same thing ironically, when asked why they eat human, every cannibal has said that humans taste like really good pork and judging by the descriptions, very good.

*Hyperbole* I mean all in all, they have a point. As long as the human are free range and the human is killed ethically, it shouldn't be an issue. Humans also have fat soluble vitamins if their diet was good, the average American with our American Standard Diet not so much though so we're probably safe. But if you can humanely kill an animal, I don't see why cannibals can't figure out a way to humanely kill humans to eat them.

@BlueVeins Vitamin D is common even for meat eaters, there's varying things that make up whether a person is perpetually low in vitamin D or not. Genetics, smoking, bacteria (steals vitamins sometimes as shown with B12 also known as bacterial thieves,) lifestyle choices, less sun, lactose intolerance can all cause low vitamin D levels.

And I can guarantee that a good 60% of meat eaters are also lactose intolerant and don't even know it, which has the historically low numbers of vitamin D and they're not even vegan.

@SatanBurger so it’s settled we’ll eat humans to solve the population problem.
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@specman I just put hyperbole in my comment because that was sarcasm.
