Can you believe some people are scared of dogs? Dogs remind me of a hairier human that happens to be mute.

Yeah... because not all dogs are friendly (just like not as human are) or any animal for that matter.
I've had some very aggressive dogs live next door to me... and owners which didn't fully train them. And they have bitten people, and even sent one to the emergency room.
Usually it's dogs that weren't trained well (if at all, or the dog trained the human, instead of the human training the dog)... OR someone trained a dog to be a guard dog, but failed to train them trust and relax when not on duty.
That's what I believe happened with current dog next to me... VERY LARGE DOG, who was trained to be a security dog. Listens amazingly great to the male owner... but the dog is literally scared and nervous all the time, especially when the male owner isn't around. The dog doesn't seem to be able to tell what is not a threat and a guarding 24/7...
And when out for a walk with the female owner, bit someone and sent them to the emergency room.
I mean, overall, I feel more bad for the dog than scared, as it's bad training and the can tell the dog is just scared and nervous and wants to fight off all the threats like I believe it was trained to... but the dog wasn't trained in what isn't a threat, or to stand down and relax when male owner isn't around. But if male owner isn't around and dog see me and I'm possibly within reach of the chain, hell yeah I'm scared... that dog see non-owners as a threat to fight unless male owners tell them to stand down.
