I got launched over a snow covered cutbank by an irate cow trying to protect her calf. Of course I was trying to safe the calf because it had fallen over the cutbank and was stuck in the snow. Her head hit my butt and I was airborne.

@ProfessorPlum77 Yeah I cussed out the cow as I got her calf out of the snow then got myself out as well. I wasn't hurt at all. Just mad.

@ProfessorPlum77 To this day! It is one of the risks you take when working with large animals. I think I was more upset with myself for breaking a cardinal rule. NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON A COW WHEN YOU ARE NEAR HER CALF!!!!

@hippyjoe1955 gotta respect an animal who protects their young though. People should all be that good about it.
