I'm starting to think my doctor lied to me

@SW-User I've been on the pills twice a week the last 4-4,5 months.

Last pill taken was tuesday, and allegedly it's not safe to drink any amount of alcohol the first 2 weeks after.

I do blood tests regularly, so doc is paying close attention.


However, my thyroid has increased blood flow, so the hospital is doing a biopsy of it nect month. It started with swollen lymph nodes under my left jaw just before xmas, and the lump is still there.
I've also gotten another lump on the right side of my throat, about halfway down.

Could that have any effect on my meds, maybe?



Edit: did some googling and my thyroid issue might suggest a higher metabolism than average, meaning the effect of the meds are less and shorter lasting.

That would make sense.

@OldBrit I managed to be sober 2012 - 2021 before life came crumbling down and I relapsed. I've done it before and I can do it again.
