I’m going to try staying sober until the weekend

I didn’t drink at all yesterday and don’t plan on drinking for the rest of the week. With my spouse leaving tomorrow to go visit family for several days, I tend to drink more when she's away, but I don’t want to be reliant on booze to cope with me missing her this time. And with Desmond showing up tomorrow as well, I don’t want to be all drinking around him the whole time either. Maybe, if everything falls into place, I won’t need to drink (in a manner of speaking) for comfort and he’ll fill in for my wife perfectly while she’s gone. I want a clear head for this long weekend ahead. At least for a little while.
