Alcoholics

How many alcoholics would prefer to not see their crush or someone they have feelings for over a drink. Why??? I see this happen often please explain ? I understand addiction to a point but to isolate yourself??? Strange

In the early stages of recovery this would not be an uncommon practice among alcoholics.
They are protecting themselves and their sobriety comes first.

@KiwiBird never thought of it like this … isn’t isolation a trigger for depression and relapse??

@Creolequeen Being offered "a drink" is more likely to lead to a relapse and staying away is protection.

Yup that’s addiction .. I’ve lost a few girls over my drinking .. and theirs .. I’ve seen people walk out on their families due to drinking .. it happens .. guess you have to be in their shoes to understand
