New drinking curb plan

I was just thinking how I used to only drink on weekends and only at a bar before. That was something that was working pretty good for quite a while until I started drinking at home as well. Usually immediately after the bar and then just drinking all day. That led to me drinking throughout the week, which led to me blacking out as often as I used to, which led to a pretty bad blackout episode that happened last month. That was a pretty serious wake-up call that I'm just becoming a raging alcoholic like before and need to get my drinking under control. However, going full cold turkey is difficult, especially when I get really bad cravings to where I'm getting anxious and jittery after long periods without alcohol. So I've elected to only drink on weekends and only at a bar, in a controlled environment where they'll cut me off when I've had too much to drink and I'm not downing whole bottles of liquor like I do at home. If I fall out of the routine and find myself drinking heavily at home again, I'll go back to therapy, even if it means them advising I go back to rehab. Yes, I should stop drinking altogether and maintain sobriety, but I plan to work on that. Drinking less and less until I just don't anymore. I was once sober for a whole year, so I've done it once and know I can do it again. We'll just see how it goes this time and it doesn't work and I catch myself falling off again, I'll face the reality that my method just doesn't work and get professional help once more.
