Sobriety and Life

Good evening fellow SW peeps. Tonight I attended my 65th AA meeting and once again I finished the meeting taking home little bits of knowledge that are always helpful.

I've looked back on 2022 and with the pile of negative events that happened, I can honestly say that I'd not me here right now if I'd have kept my head in the bottle. Live in the present.

When you get to the others side of it, it's breathtaking (and alarming) at just how much energy went into keeping ourselves sick and dying.

@Graylight When I don't feel like going to an AA meeting, that's exactly when I need to go. I'm always glad I did.

@Spumoni Same. Every time I went kicking and screaming or just bone tired, I had to speak on how insanely appropriate and right that specific meeting was for me. It's almost eerie.
