nobody believes me

I feel outcasted. the past almost 2 months my husband's family has been spreading rumors that I am back on drugs. I am clean, 8 years. I struggled hard for about a year with opiate addiction when my first born was a baby and i have been doing very good with staying clean since. i feel like they want to tear my family apart and see my fail. what should i do?

You know the answer to this. Continue living your life just as you do, clean and sober. There will always be people who don’t forgive, who can’t believe and will use something like this as a weapon every chance they get. Get to meetings if you currently don’t to maintain that sobriety, but once sober we understand that we don’t live by other peoples’ feelings.
