Resisting temptation

Due to my profession I find myself in many different homes...and lately I have come across a few men who trigger me. They are assertive, a bit dominant and although I control the flow of conversation I can't help but yeild to their request. I just hurry and get done but it's got me on edge. I have all these thoughts. 😔 Idk guys.
It must be tough having to be in these situations for your job, do you have an action plan for when you feel tempted? A ready excuse to leave at short notice to get you out of difficult predicaments?

@MizzO Hindsight is always 20/20. This is the perfect time to get into therapy. Things play out as they do. It could very well be that the earlier goings-on in your life - the habits, the deflections - were exactly the things you needed to get you into therapy [i]now.[/i]

Whatever the conflict was that brought about the divorce, you can use that to your advantage. I can see you have the strength to do that. Your willingness to do therapy is an indication of that.

I think you're doing well. Keep doing. 👍 🤗

@PhoenixPhail Any tips on what to do in the moment? Right now it seems like all day is just one big moment to overcome.
@MizzO Practice [i]anything[/i] in the direction of loving yourself. Give yourself breaks, frequently, if you can. Take time for yourself. Take time to appreciate all the things you DO have, all the gifts bestowed upon you from life, itself.

Try not to dwell on all the things you need to overcome. Make a list of positive aspects and reflect on those. Pat yourself on the back for all your accomplishments in your life, even the little ones. Surely, there must be many.

And congratulate yourself for being so courageous, brave and resilient. You have so much strength to have made it through so much. Be confident that same strength will carry you so much farther.

Know good things are already here and waiting for you. Finding moments of joy and happiness, anywhere you can, in anything you do, will open the channels to the abundance that awaits you.

Trust that your Inner Being knows the way. ❤️
