I hate small talk

I long to hear someone whisper the last 4 digits of their social security number into my ear

Right? But, if it's with the right person, I don't mind a little of it as that is part of life also. Plus it's still time with them.

I do value depth and substance but that can become exhausting if too much of it. Our minds need rest and playfulness. If I shared and discussed every deep thought I had, I'd never get anything done, haha.

I like people with depth, who CAN think, who are WILLING to think.

I can’t stand those who only want to talk about the weather conditions, the traffic situation, what they’re eating for lunch, or what they’re wearing today.

I’ve started thinking of small talk as it being listening to ignorant, small-minded people. I’ll talk about anything unless someone is acting a fool.
