When will you stop using people’s misfortunes to feel better about yourself?

It has been said "Do not mock other peoples' struggles, for you might be next."
So, I try not to even THINK anything negative when someone is going through a hard time.
I know some people see or hear things in the news about certain groups of people who are going through h3ll and they gleefully dance around like little kids. I think, "Oh just wait you S.O.B. because yours might be coming."

I get nothing out of the misfortunes of others. I don’t need anyone’s misfortune to make me feel better. I’m happy cause it’s on the inside. 🙂

Arguments about certain things, ruined self-esteems, spam, the worst parts of craigslist, etc.
It is a true t*rd hole. I haven't been on it in months, I never was a heavy user.
The whole experience just reminds me of when the workplace tries to do something "fun".
