what are your thoughts on transgender people?

I grew up in rural country and it was very closed off community. Men couldnt have hair a certain length, couldnt dye hair, couldn't listen to certain music, couldn't wear certain colors, couldnt paint their nails, and now the world is different completely it just is and its sometimes strange ti say the least to see the rules change.

I don't have hate in my heart for anyone and the more i learn about relevant sciences that have studied these things i see more and more how ignorant the community i grew up in was and still is.

It is almost as if I was really sheltered and now having to learn about the world all over again outside of the world i grew up in and sometimes it is difficult so that is where im at.

Some people are born in the wrong bodies. It is obvious when you look at them. A man that looks like a woman, a woman that looks like a man.
Some are in between, and I think they have the most difficult time. People are shocked to see an obvious male wearing a skirt and high heels and a blond wig. I think a lot of people would not be nice to that person, and they in turn would lose confidence in what they are doing, making the transition harder.
Some guys just like to dress in women's clothing and are not transgender at all.
It is a complicated question to answer. Really depends on the situation.
Everyone should be allowed to decide for themselves what they want to be, what they want to wear, how they want to be perceived. Freedom of expression.

I see no issues with it. I accept everyone.

I feel we should identify the way that makes us happy. It's a personal journey.

Never had a problem with transgender persons. I think people should be allowed to be who they are. I'm personally non-binary 🤷🏾 always have been

Trans rights are a cause very close to my heart and I believe strongly in them and have spent a lot of my life fighting for them. Trans people deserve love, dignity, respect, and inclusion.

I am the last liberal (probably not literally, but it sure as hell feels that way). As such, I don't believe in treating people differently based on their sex, so it doesn't matter a bit to me if they want to wear a dress, or be called "she", or whatever. I suppose there are questions in terms of professional athletics; I don't really a have a strong opinion on that, since it's a tiny portion of a tiny group, and doesn't have much to do with anything beyond itself. However, I also believe in one set of rights that applies equally to everyone, which is where my ideology loses most people (lots of them SAY they support legal equality; when you say that also should include protections against infant genital mutilation, government battle slavery, and reproductive rights, for all or for none, they change their tune fast)- transsexuals, having seen to some degree (it really varies by individual) both sides of the coin, can be very helpful towards showing people how society treats the different genders- and hopefully fixing that.

I DO have very deep concerns over the idea that not fitting in with your socially assigned gender role somehow means you're the opposite gender; that would mean that action determines gender, rather than the other way around, and that's not sociology, it's a horror movie. A girl with unusually masculine interests (what we used to call a "tomboy") may be a future transsexual; she may also be a future lesbian, or just a future woman with unusually masculine interests. What I hear about the way schools treat socially misfitting children has me outright worried; encouraging extreme surgeries in someone unable to understand what "lifelong medical complications" means should evoke worry in anyone. I hope that what I"m hearing is just anti-trans hysteria (which wouldn't be surprising, given that many of these people seem to think that "putting on a dress" also has lifelong medical complications), but these days...

I think it's entirely possible that some people don't fit into either of the two simple gender categories and some people are born in the wrong bodies. And it's been recognized since ancient times.

The Talmud, a huge and authoritative compendium of Jewish legal traditions, contains in fact no less than eight gender designations including:

1. Zachar, male.
2. Nekevah, female.
3. Androgynos, having both male and female characteristics.
4. Tumtum, lacking sexual characteristics.
5. Aylonit hamah, identified female at birth but later naturally developing male characteristics.
6. Aylonit adam, identified female at birth but later developing male characteristics through human intervention.
7. Saris hamah, identified male at birth but later naturally developing female characteristics.
8. Saris adam, identified male at birth and later developing female characteristics through human intervention.

You can find other sources listing six or eight genders from Talmudic studies. Apparently six of them are mentioned "hundreds" of times; perhaps the other two don't get so many mentions?

I’m not trans in the technical way in that I don’t believe I’m a woman but I’m feminine and attracted to men. I think the word sissy fits me better

It's none of my business. I take people as they come. I've met very nice, pleasant people who are TG and some with a big chip on their shoulder. At the end of the day, we're all just people.

Trans people are cool, but they're too damn good at fighting games, like why is this?

You can decide to be whatever you want to be. You can’t make other people pretend too though.
