Stay cool!
Is it hot and humid where you live? It's only about 30 degrees Celsius here. but humid enough that it felt hot even though it wasn't.
And when I walked down to the grocery store after a doctor appointment, I noticed a heavyset 300 pound man with a thick Indian accent hauling shopping carts into the store. Today He was sweating like crazy and looked sick and walking not like normal. Why they have the guy most prone to heat stroke out there today? Has he had any break out of the sun yet? He didn't look it. He looked like he was going to drop.
He is always on parking lot and shopping cart duty anytime we walk over, but always looked fine then. I've talked to him a few times, because I tend to be overly nice to people who haul carts all day.
I went in and bought two bottles of ice cold water and a Gatorade and made him stop for a second in the shade and drink something or use the cold water bottles to cool down. It turned out he'd been out there for a long time. I told him if his boss comes by and has a problem.with him drinking something. I'll scold him for putting an employee at health risk. I hung out a few minutes and we got each other's names and made small talk and Then I told him to stay safe and don't get heat stroke and went in to buy groceries. Man has a sense of humor and said if he doesn't die from heat stroke, he's sure to lose 50 pounds this summer from sweating alone. Lol
Stay cool out there, everyone.
Heat stroke is serious.
