For the longest time, Darius hasn't[/i]t stepped feet home, and it was about time to change that. Home to Darius was wherever his master was at, he represents what he venerates and respects the most. You see, unlike a huge part of his vampire brothers he never dares to question his master's decisions, despise having or not second thoughts. Some call him a fool, the master's lap dog, and Darius revides by remaining this loyal to the one and only. Taking this time away from home and his master was all due to a need to clear his mind, and create a gap between himself and Marcus' other children, not all of them, but the few that mistreated the master. He's not one to get in the middle and snap, but it got under his nerves some actions from them, the ones who had this chance at living forever thanks to him. How dare they spit on his hand? To Darius those kind of attitudes were intolerable and unacceptable.
His mind flashes memories from his human past, and he can't avoid recalling how it all started. "Darius, you can live forever. I can offer you that, if you want. You just have to say yes." Darius gazes up at his best friend, the one who somehow has always been there, watching him from the distance. Approching him slowly, until they became friends. And he remembers his parents reactions of when he told them about this friend of his, they thought he had an imaginary friend. It was amazing the way Darius grew from a child, to a young boy and then to a man, and his special friend always looked the same. It was like aging didn't have any side effect on him. Thinking back about it, what he appreciates the most on Marcus is that he never lied to him, cause at a certain point he told Darius what he was, why he never aged. He was the brother Darius never had, and the fact that he was a vampire didn’t bother him. "One day I'll take that offer." Was his answer from back in the days, which made him smile like a fool at that memory as he was walking down the street towards his destination.
Darius was so deeply dwelled into the memories of his past, that at first he didn't recognize that girl walking on the street right away, who was someone he meet in the past. He blinks and when he's this close to her he dares to talk to the girl. "Alex..." He called her out, setting his hand on her shoulder and gazing down at her. Just like any other human being she has aged, but she remained so beautiful. "What a nice sight for sore eyes." He added, greeting her with a natural seductive grin of his. He thought about inviting her for a drink to catch up, he had to see his master but maybe having a drrink with her first wouldn't hurt, would it? If she recognizes him, that is.

"Where are you going?" That's Joseph's question when seeing that his niece was about to leave the house at 22:49 PM. "I'll be home soon, kay? Just heading for a late walk..." Telling him what she was up to,the only one she shared information on what she was about to do or not, the only one who deserves that much of her after sticking by her for so long. "Just, be careful." He added, knowing that asking her not to go was useless, and she shook her head to one side, walking out of that door. Her uncle who's always been there for her was about to leave to live his own life, after all she's eighteen now, and she can take care of herself. He has business related to her family out of the country, it seems. She will be alone, and she doesn't mind. Maybe she would miss him, who knows?
After walking for a while, she takes a seat at a bench in a calm street, her phone wouldn't stop buzzing with notifications. Guess it was a mistake accepting to join that stupid school groupy. They had so much to say, she wasn't even interested. Turning off the notifications of that group, she grabs her notebook and reads old things she wrote and that now were just nonsense. She couldn't quite decide on where to start it, the writing, perhaps she just needed to let it flow naturally. At least there, it was a dessert street so no one would bother her, she thinks. Although, she finds herself thinking about her uncle and how he sometimes seems to know more than he tells her. After all those years she barely knows him, it's not as if she ever tried hard enough to get to know him better. But, there was something about him, of that she's sure.

"Mommy Mommy. Can I play some more?" An innocent and angelic like face pleading with an adult, her mother, to play more. Isn't that what every child wants? To play endlessly? To children the world is so perfect, and they can't quite understand why adults tend to complicate it so badly. Questions such as: Why is dad coming home late? What is money for? Why do we have to die? What happens when we die? Those and so many more are questions that rings at any child's mind when they're discovering what the world is all about. "It was a long day, my sweetie. Now is time for you to rest." Her mom insisted, to which the little girl bounced her head and folded her arms above her chest, pillow behind her nape, and a pout ganing it's form in her facial features. A tradicional tantrum, for a girl who just turned eight years old. "It's no fair!" She had to protest, indeed, or she wouldn't be known for the stubborn little lady of the house. "I'll read you a story before leaving, deal?" Her mom suggested all patient like and kindly at her, and that was enough to make her smile and jump in bed all excited.
Mommy reading the tale, the girl holding tightly on her favorite stuffed animal. A normal picture of a random family, one that has everything to be perfect, a bright future was designed for this girl and her siblings. The little girl's eyes were shutting close, she had struggled way too much to remain awake and now she was giving in. A noise, a pretty loud one made its echo in the entire house, and scared the little girl. She glanced to her side, and her mom was gone. Glasses breaking, and a scream. "Mom? Dad?" She muttered pressing the stuuffed animal against her chest and hesitantly climbed out of her bed. Leaving her bedroom she is shaking, afraid of what's coming, oh she had no idea of what was coming her way. Heading downstairs she sees the chaos. "Mommy? Daddy? Where are you?" The despair in her face, she was lost and scared, and no one answered her. Why? "MOM!!!!" She screams from the bottom of her lungs when she caughts sight of a shadow approaching her, one that she was certain it didn't belong to her parents, and it was only when she looked down that she saw that stain of blood on the carpet.
Her heart seemed to almost jump out of her small chest as she ran as fast as she was able to, accidently dropping her favorite stuffed animal in a pool of blood. She has never seen so much blood, no child is supposed to watch those sort of scenarios, to go throught that. She finds an hidding place, under the dinning table and stays there mumbling to herself. "This is just a nightmare, this is just a nightmare, this is just a nightmare..." Until she bursted out into tears.
Lowering her brown sweet eyes, looking frightened, the girl stretched out her little hand to a woman who promised her to help her, who assured her that she would take her to a safe place, and she went with her, deep down still believing that soon she would wake up from that nightmare and everything would be alright. Her mother would wake her with a soft and tender kiss on the cheek, and her favorite breakfast would be served at the table, then they would go to the park as they usually do every Sunday afternoon. However, and sadly for the girl whose innocence had been broken in such a tender age, nothing has ever been what it once was, and she was left in an orphanage for two weeks until her uncle Joseph Moore took her back home. To the house that has never been the same again and despite the two souls who lived there, it looked so empty.
Time flies, and Margaret was no longer that frightened little girl who one day saw her house being mugged by monsters that destroyed her family, and her life for good. Or maybe she was the collateral damage of this same girl, and what she had become reflects what she lived. Whether we like it or not, the past leaves its stains on us and changes us forever. Maybe living in the same house where it all happened did not help, or having her overworried, overprotective uncle around her was a constant reminder of that awful event. She has all respect for her uncle, sure, he was the only one who has always been there for her ever since that night, in fact, he also took care of the financial affairs her family left behind, and that was good because she did not want to have to deal with it. Aside from school and her computer, where she made all the efforts to write something worth read when ideas came to her, she just wanted to be left alone.
