"Where are you going?" That's Joseph's question when seeing that his niece was about to leave the house at 22:49 PM. "I'll be home soon, kay? Just heading for a late walk..." Telling him what she was up to,the only one she shared information on what she was about to do or not, the only one who deserves that much of her after sticking by her for so long. "Just, be careful." He added, knowing that asking her not to go was useless, and she shook her head to one side, walking out of that door. Her uncle who's always been there for her was about to leave to live his own life, after all she's eighteen now, and she can take care of herself. He has business related to her family out of the country, it seems. She will be alone, and she doesn't mind. Maybe she would miss him, who knows?
After walking for a while, she takes a seat at a bench in a calm street, her phone wouldn't stop buzzing with notifications. Guess it was a mistake accepting to join that stupid school groupy. They had so much to say, she wasn't even interested. Turning off the notifications of that group, she grabs her notebook and reads old things she wrote and that now were just nonsense. She couldn't quite decide on where to start it, the writing, perhaps she just needed to let it flow naturally. At least there, it was a dessert street so no one would bother her, she thinks. Although, she finds herself thinking about her uncle and how he sometimes seems to know more than he tells her. After all those years she barely knows him, it's not as if she ever tried hard enough to get to know him better. But, there was something about him, of that she's sure.
