I used to go to the Freshwater Bay Yacht Club on the Swan River, Perth and go sailing in races early on Sunday mornings.

Never had any experience, just a way to be on the beautiful river.
Members would allow novices on board, in the hopes of boosting member numbers?
Or simply to see if one would enjoy sailing.
