Help someone if you can who is struggling from mental illness

9- Donate to research if you can.

10- Stop using their mental illness to feel right about some stupid point in your head. Or feed your pathetic superiority complex.

11- Don't think just because someone has a mental illness, they're stupid or uneducated. They can achieve as many academic and life goals as other people. Some can achieve even more.

12-Please stfu about the power of positive thinking, pseudoscientific idealist crap has no grounds in reality.

13- Give them space when they want space.

14- If you have a mental illness and you know you can seek professional help for yourself, do it. Stop postponing it, no one is going to put your best interest first except you. And you can't tend to other people's needs when unbalanced.

15- There is no shame in having a mental illness, there is also no shame in admitting you , even though you don't have a mental illness, cannot support them alone and you also need support.

There is so much to be said here

@Miram And there is a lot to be said about your expression and most I agree with. I know I have issues, but I can't imagine my ex's mother schizophrenic dealing with a place like this. And while that's not the focus here, if I can't imagine them getting along with an online community this way, there is also something to be said about the environment fostered.

I especially support 1 and 8. 2-7 I understand, and if they really do understand, help but often those are clouded
