I Write Whatever I Want To Write

I used to stand at the banks of the big river
and yell at God.
I wasn't angry
I was confused.
My good friend took several tours
in Vietnam
and choked on his vomit
as a homeless man.
The Irish flu took my sister too
I'm just confused
I hope we can come to terms
some day.

You and I and everyone in the world will die, and the paths to death are so many, some paths down which we run, and some upon which we stumble. God has never provided us anything except life and death, and the beautiful world in which those things occur. And He has never promised us anything except to stand beside us and offer us His peace when we need it most desperately.
@4meAndyou Wonderfully said. I don't agree 100% as to the "promises" and 'provision', but it's a beautifully written truth. Thank you.

Is this true?

@puck61 went to the Trainwreck a few times.

@puck61 yes, learned to make croissants and sourdough...
@Tastyfrzz I was at the bottom of the economic pecking order! I worked at Pacific Circuits, and a warehouse that had nothing but bused in migrants. The hours were long, but all I did was take 'load sheets' from the fax machine to the workers. I translated, and had to be the convenient snitch and ax man! If something was amiss, I would simply walk them to the clock and take their card and ask them to punch out and leave. That part really sucked.
