@Endlessecho wasn't sure if you meant 'Dune' or 'Dune' the many splendored sequels Dune. The original is the best of the bunch. A little slow in the begining first time through. It picks up pretty well after the first couple chapters. After that it's hard to put down.

@Doomflower I enjoyed all of his original series, some of the others had their moments too. I will just say that the original is the only one I quote almost word for word.

I listened to it as an audiobook. which is ... at least similar.

Yeah, maybe 50+ years ago, while an undergrad at Kentucky.

Great book, though I liked "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Heinlein better.
