@Endlessecho i saw the lynch movie first and liked it but I LOVE the lore of the books and all the history. The series spans THOUSANDS of years. It is so moving. The God Emperor of Dune is so fucking moving to me. It is romantic and sad and powerful.
@Endlessecho wasn't sure if you meant 'Dune' or 'Dune' the many splendored sequels Dune. The original is the best of the bunch. A little slow in the begining first time through. It picks up pretty well after the first couple chapters. After that it's hard to put down.
@Doomflower I enjoyed all of his original series, some of the others had their moments too. I will just say that the original is the only one I quote almost word for word.
