I Love the Confederate Flag

So what do you really know? My guess is a lot of Yankee revisionist nonsense.

Well there aren't as many left of us as rode out at the start. But we will never truly surrender. I don't care if they put me in a box when they lay me down just lay me down in Southern ground (SC-SCV)

This is laughable - and not in a good way. You have one guy early in the video claiming the Civil War was not about slavery and then there are a series of flimsy excuses to feebly defend the South as not interested in slavery and racism in an attempt to pretend slavery and racism wasn't part of the South's "agenda." At best this is a rationalization piece to pacify people with guilty consciences. At worst, it's an attempt to pervert factual history by grown adults who like playing army.

The bottom line is the Confederate flag is a flag of losers... you do know the South lost the war and that the military leaders of the South did surrender and they each (each and everyone of them) asked to be reinstated as citizens under the true American flag? Just exactly what are you so proud of...?

@TheProphet Just so you know (because it sounds like you might not) you fly it as an American citizen, just like our Confederate ancestors were interested in becoming after renouncing it. Stop disrespecting our ancestors by second-guessing their decision to return to their true home. Thank God the confederacy is dead and God Bless the United States of America!

@MarkPaul I don't thank God that the Confederacy is no more. It would have been a great country. They only said what they had to say to be released. None of them were sincere I'm sure.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@TheProphet Well, now you're just stuck in your own fantasy. But, it's not a very flattering endorsement if they were willing to sacrifice their ideals, beliefs, and honor as kicking and screaming cry-babies if that's what they did. Insincerity is hardly something to be proud about.

Based on historical fact though, as they reentered American life, it seems clear your fantasy fades and is replaced by a reality that suggests they were happy to reclaim their American lives for themselves, their children, and us as their future generations. I cherish them for their sincerity in choosing to return as Americans.

@WindOfAdolf It sounds more and more like you want to be oppressed so you can have some remote reason to fight your imagined demons. You want to ride around town showing off a flag that went down in disgrace, no one is REALLY stopping you. Any attention of offense you get is attention you obviously want. As for rallying around a TV show from back in the day of the '80's because it had a rebel flag on some car named "General Lee" seems both dumb and disrespectful of someone whose honor you claim to want to preserve. I very much doubt the real General Lee would appreciate being named after a TV show car.

And... American history is not being taken down. No one is pretending the Civil War didn't happen, that secession didn't occur, or that Americans didn't killed Americans in a war. At the same time, no one is buying into your fantasy that the good old days are worth repeating a second time. It's time to move on. Stop living in the past, dude.

Slavery existed since before Jesus Christ walked the earth.

Wow, this is really enlightening. Noted, thank you. Remind me to go over that, when we're not discussing the history of slavery in the USA, the civil war, and Jim Crow laws.

You're under the misconception that it always only had to do with color.

Really? Because I missed the part where I am under that misconception.

A typical rational fallacy.

You should probably look it up, because it means absolutely nothing, in relation to the context of my post.

The remainder of your post? You copied and pasted from a hate web site, that used a partial statement, from Wikepedia, which was lifted from somewhere else. Let me help you out a bit here and post the executive summary, from that same article that the paragraphs you posted here, are lifted from:

Politically and economically, blacks have made substantial strides in the post–civil rights era.

I don't know how statues could be construed as intimidation, especially since none of these figures were ever slave owners.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The educational system has failed you, and for that I apologize.

Jefferson Davis (he was the President of the Confederacy). He owned slaves, but to be fair, he only lynched those "of vile temper, of low instincts, of base purpose" who would otherwise escape 'justice'

Robert E. Lee: yes, he owned slaves, that he initially inherited from his mother, along with their descendants. His wife brought her slaves into the marriage.

Just about every Southern general, whose statue was used to intimidate, owned slaves. It's really sad, that someone over 25, would be this kind of statement. This is where I step off this conversation. Again, real sorry the educational system let you down, and now you're resorting to hate sites to feed your anger.

lmao, the fact that you have to use a token black guy is probably the laziest thing I've seen on here.
