And why is he waiting so long to announce it. No candidate has ever waited this long to announce it. Can't he find anyone that wants to strap themselves to his wagon?

Obama didn't announce Biden as his running mate until Aug. 23, 2008. Al Gore announced Joseph Lieberman on Aug. 7, 2020.

Personally, I'm leaning toward Kamala Harris. She was my pick for presidential candidate until she dropped out of the race.
