I Am In High School

I seriously can't remember how many weeks we've been back at school. It's either two or three. It seems like we never had a summer holiday. But I've been enjoying school. It's my first experience of being in the Sixth Form. It's funny but when we were in Year 7 we thought the sixth formers were so mature and old. And now I find we aren't! I don't even feel adult yet. But I do like all my courses. I chose them so I think that helps me to work hard. I am back home quite early because we finish early on Friday because some of the kids board during the week and go home weekends. Also we have a late start on Monday. 10 o'clock so they can get back. It seems a good idea. But otherwise we have long days. We start at 8 and finish at 5.
I have joined quite a few clubs. I am in the school swimming team. I am now playing netball for the school. I also go to the debating society. Because I like talking. But the older kids are much better at talking. So I just have to listen. I don't think it will be long before I have the courage to actually say something. And get shot down in flames probably but who cares? I am also looking forward to kayaking sessions starting at the end of September.
