@jennypenny @Sharon All I can say is, that I am glad I did not attend school in the UK. Lol

@chrisCA Getting the slipper or cane was just part of school life, much like homework and PE/Games on a freezing cold sports field in the middle of winter.

@Sharon From what I hear, yes, but not in Canada when I went school. Lol

@chrisCA A lot of UK schools were little more than concentration camps, some of them still are. The new "academies" are among the worst.

@Sharon I am sure some of those teachers enjoyed using the cane a little too much. 😏

@chrisCA I know some did. It was obvious in schools where they only caned boys because they clearly had other, better methods of imposing discipline that they used with girls.
