Anybody try DNA/Ancestry search and found out some major surprise?

I was surprised to find that I had a bit of Southeast Asian ancestry.
I knew it was primarily European ancestry, and possibly some African and Middle Eastern (both of which also showed up)....but the Southeast Asian was a surprise to me.

Apparently it all started with a certain Adam & Eve 🤷‍♂️

No major surprises. I have met some cousins that I didn't know I had. I was able to eliminate some ancestral lines that people believed to be true. The biggest surprise was the strong connection to Scandinavians in the maternal line.

Yep.
I knew that my great uncle was an opera singer, but I didn´t know HOW famous he was to his time.

yes indeed. one of my high school friends claimed his great grandfather was my grandmother's sugar daddy and that all of my aunts and uncles belonged to him...we found out that was not true..

Yeah, I was related to George the shit throwing monkey. Considering the rest of my family tree it didn't come as much of a surprise.
