I Love My Mom

My mom has finally been officially diagnosed with an inoperable lung cancer. Luckily, its not too aggressive, and the tumor is not growing at the moment. I did some research on my own because she is refusing chemo, which is the only option according to her doctor
what I found out is cancer feeds on sugar, and a Paleo diet has been shown to do amazing things with cancer patients. It lacks sugar, and is full of veggies. When I proposed it to her she said no at first, because she loves her cookies every night. She did have a change of heart though, and an offer. If i do it with her, she's game. I accepted her offer.

She's still stuck in a wheelchair because of severe arthritis, not the mass on her lower back. She isn't in much pain because of this, it's more like her hip just won't move like she wants it to.

She's been drinking a couple of gallons of cbd water every week, making her feel more "fluid" she says.

For the last 4 months, she's been in assisted living. In this time, she's quit her 30+ year, 2 pack a day smoking habit and she's down to 1 glass of wine/night instead of 1/2 gallon. She's doing remarkable. She's determined and does her excercises religiously. She's so confident in getting around in her wheelchair now too. The kids and I take her all over with us, to get her out of that place and keep her busy. We've planted tons of flowers at her house, anticipating her home coming.

The best news is, because of all her hard work, she's going home tomorrow. She wants to be back in her house, with her things. The people at the facility are, according to her, "not her people, at least not yet", is how she puts it. She's sharp as a tack and is never one to hold back her opinion or comments.

She's my mom, all 97 pounds of her. I'm so proud of her and mostly I love spending time with her. I couldn't have reunited with her at a more perfect time, for the both of us. 鈾ワ笍

@Vivaci the timing was the doing of the universe. It blessed my little family in the biggest way.
@DirtyBird I believe in that. This month has been truly divinely blessed... 馃檹 馃槒

As per my spiritual guide, most of the people who've suffered for years will find new beginnings, new passion, new love, and new careers in the month of Jun-July. Isn't it amazing?

It's absolutely amazing. Life is good @Vivaci! I haven't been so content in years. Things are slowly getting better and better.
I look forward to each day, and even though I work all the time, I'm so happy.
@DirtyBird That's becoz it's time to reap what you've sowed. All these years you were doing what was right and thinking why it's happening to you... And how the karmic cycle is over.. So you'll reap whatever you've sown... Those who did good will get good days... 馃 馃槝

@Vivaci I believe this too. It's hard for me to think about or anticipate karmic bonus for myself though. But, I will quietly keep moving forward and try not to think about it! Lol
It would be incredible and I would be so grateful. 馃槍
@DirtyBird Amen. 馃 馃槝
