I Am Insecure

Is it just me, or do glasses boost insecurity? I never feel good about myself when I wear glasses, not in comparison to wearing contacts, anyway. I’ve needed corrective lenses since I was ten, and around the age fourteen I finally got contacts and started to actually like the way I looked. Now, contacts just irritate my eyes more often than not and I’m back to wearing glasses some...
Hearing of people actually wanting to wear glasses - like as a fashion statement - is insane to me, haha.

My eyes are the only things about my appearance that I consistently like, I feel like glasses take away from them in a way. Maybe that’s why I don’t like them..

@KatieKatze Glasses can also really frame your eyes and make them stand out more, so it's not always negative. Also there is nothing wrong with the strict librarian look ;)
