I have researched the Colon Guard Stool Test. The doctor should of explained further. Just because DNA of cancer was found in the test DOES NOT mean cancer!!!! It could mean a precancerous polyp … not a death sentence that ran thru my mind. The Colon Scope will tell the rest of the story.
I get manic at times. My experiences thru out my life has left me... ill. After our flu bout, which was a mean-ass flu, fever, aches, coughing.... for days.. Then Button and her unknown death and then Sky... and THEN... the docs lack of information... and my "crossing the edge"... It took my Will and deep mediation to get a hold of myself. I am here now...lol.... I love you all for your support. xoxo THANK YOU!!

@Echoing I've had a half-dozen+ colonoscopies and the discovery of polyps isn't necessarily a diagnosis of cancer. However, since there is that possibility, there is a level of concern. And thankfully they weren't cancerous in my case.
One polyp had to be clipped trice. So I went through that warning three times. The third time was by a surgeon who got it for good. Going through the colonoscopy drill every 6 weeks for a while wasn't great, but still far more fun than colon cancer.
Considering the risk of perforating the colon during a colonoscopy, there's apparently a bit of physician skill involved in removing them without creating additional harm. It's like getting skin tags removed. Sometimes they grow back.
I still remember the last words from that doc before my lights went out: "I'll try to be careful, but if I perforate your colon I'll have to transfer you to general surgery." Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, I remember my words as I was coming too afterwards: "Am I in general surgery?"

@Heartlander Thank you for your comforting words. (hug) I will hold tight to being positive about this. The reason he got the test is he is having discomfort and pain in his upper gut. We are about to explore the rest of this story when we get my husband's date for his colonoscope. Happy your story is unfolding with good results! Thanks again for sharing this with me. It helps more than you know! x

I am so sorry. We have 3 close friends fighting cancer at the moment and their struggles are inspiring. On reflection, their inspiration is fueled by family and friends cheering them on.
I just saw a cute comment on facebook. I may not be quoting it exactly but it went like this:
1st person commented: "We only live once!"
2nd person commented: "No, it's that we only die once; but until then we have the opportunity to live every moment."

@Heartlander Thank you. I had to get ahold of myself. Have had the flu, one dog died and the other... well.. sigh.. still with us and this mornings news was... a bomb. I am dusting myself off and I will be no victim but a strong woman for whatever else comes my ways.

It is treatable. My father and grandfather both had it. With relatively early detection, and possibly with surgery and chemo, your husband could survive. My father was unable to endure the nausea from the chemo, but today they couple chemo with anti-nausea medications. Your husband has a chance. Do not despair.
I'm so sorry... I will keep him in my prayers... cancer is curable.. stay positive please... 🤗🤗
But why would he leave such a message on the phone?? That's not right...
