I need advice but I know people are going to judge me...

I have issues with my body and weight. I starve then binge then overexercise but then sometimes stay in bed for days. My therapist doesn't seem to think I have issues with it, neither does my psychiatrist. It causes really bad anxiety. What do I do? I don't know if insurance would cover a dietician or nutritionist or anything.
print out 3 calendars and tack it to your fridge - or a place where you look at it a lot - get markers - plan out your exercise month with the blue marker color in the days you will exercise - look at it at a glance and see if it looks realistic - meaning not everyday and not blank for 5 days just make it balanced.

I am not suggesting this but if you do starve like you said in the post- color in the days you do
I am not suggesting this but if you binge eat like you said in the post - color in the days you do

Do this on a different calendar one color for each.

Then do the same for your lying in bed days. -

The purpose of this is at the end of the month look at what you did - ask yourself does this look balanced ? no? yes ? --- and make adjustments if you choose.

Write up a schedule for eating and exercising. Have someone sensible look it over. Follow it with extreme discipline. It would do you good to take certain matters into your own hands.
The first question you need to ask yourself is "What is my body mass index?". The second question is "Is that BMI number considered normal?"

If it is considered to be in the NORMAL range...then it is a self-image issue that you need to work on. YOU COULD start an exercise routine that targets those areas that bother you the most if you think that would help alleviate some of your self image issues when you start to see results.

If your BMI is in the obese range, then it is probably time for you to find doctors that will listen and give you honest feedback....

Bottom line: It is your body...your temple...
You know what is best for you, you just have to face the facts and do it.... go take a Zumba class, dance your ass off and have some fun...

Have you told your therapist or psychiatrist what you’re doing?

@fluteacorn If they don’t think that’s an issue, you need to find a new therapist and psychiatrist.

"My therapist doesn't seem to think I have issues with it, neither does my psychiatrist" what exactly does that mean> and sorry you're having issues

@DunDunDun They don't think it is severe

@fluteacorn You should probably just find new ones if you can

@DunDunDun A major issue I have is that opening up is hard. Anxiety makes it take months, sometimes years to open up. It took a little over a year to be 100% honest. I hid self harm, lied about thoughts, it was bad.

People are going to judge you regardless of what you do or don’t do, so do what you think is best, and fuck ‘em.
