@GJOFJ3 The last few postings I have found in my writing archives. I've moved forward and my life is so very different now. It takes two people making a choice to be together. And you must choose each other every day.
Cynicism (always be leery of the "isms") is an experience. For me "I learned" what was wrong. Along my broken path I discovered there is another way and recognized how to do it right.

Sometimes we need to be alone to figure out what we want and truly find what we deserve. LIke you say its better to be alone than deal with BS.
